My neck, my back... my Feet?

Did you know?

Good balance, gait, and spine function are only possible with well-adjusted feet?

Yup. It makes sense, right?

We spend all our time walking on our feet and if the foundation is shaky, the house will fall!

There are 26 bones and 33 joints in each foot! It takes a lot of coordination to keep us balanced.

Balance comes from specialized cells inside our joints that tell our brains where we are in space. Try this, close your eyes and touch your finger to your nose. Did you miss? Probably not—That’s because those special cells were communicating directly with your brain to help with that coordination. The same thing has to happen inside the feet joints so that our balance is strong and steady.

Did you know we have 3 natural arches in each foot? You have likely heard of cases of flat feet. That is a collapse of the normal medial arch. But there’s also a transverse arch across the toes, and a lateral arch. They are all important to keep proper tension and weight distribution in the foot when we stand and walk.

At Framework Chiropractic, your Doctors specialize in analyzing your gait patterns, your shoe treads, and your balance through assessing your feet. We are often able to help with common complaints like plantar fasciitis and heel or toe pain. We also assess feet for patients with other types of pain too!
