Anti-Inflammatory Eating: Access to Improved Healing with Food

Did you know?
Inflammation is how we heal!
That's right! Our body uses 'inflammation' to bring more blood to the areas that need attention, brings waste removal cells, and stimulates cellular turnover. Our body makes inflammation by using components of our food. Sometimes though, inflammation gets a little outta hand; too much of a good thing sometimes equals a bad thing. Eating foods that high content of inflammatory components can lead to an overproduction of inflammation in our systems—not just at the place you need it to heal.
Decreasing these foods—especially during periods of sickness or pain—can help reduce the systemic reaction and the long-term effects.
Some of these foods to avoid include:
Dairy products
Eggs
Red Meats
But eating foods that have good nutrition and anti-inflammatory components can help to lower the stress on the area or the system just long enough to get back into the normal cycle of healing and repair.
Some of the foods you should eat are:
Fruits and Veggies
Garlic
Aloe
Curcumin or Turmeric
At Framework Chiropractic, we know adjustments are the foundation of healing. But eating a plant based, high fiber diet can help you heal even faster!
